Dr. David Cosentino, CMIO, Middlesex Health
David is a Board Certified Emergency Physician and has practiced Emergency Medicine for 20 years, spending the last 18 at Middlesex Health. Since 2005, he has worked with IT, representing the medical staff in the development, implementation, optimization and support of clinical information systems focusing on provider efficiency, quality and analytics. He is seen as a peer and advocate by the Medical Staff.
Prior to joining Middlesex Health, David completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida, where he served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Most Outstanding Resident in 1999.
David earned his Undergraduate Degree from Georgetown University and Medical Degree from the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Ryan Boutin, Assistant Chief, Hospital Medicine, IT Physician Liaison, Middlesex Health
Ryan is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician at Middlesex Health, practicing inpatient Hospital Medicine for the past 5 years at Middlesex and currently serves as Assistant Chief of Hospital Medicine as well as Physician Informatacist. He has served as the IT physician liaison for the Hospital Medicine service since 2016, working directly with Dr. David Cosentino. He completed his residency at Middlesex Hospital Family Medicine Residency in 2014. He received the Rapid Response Team Award during residency in 2012 for Leadership, Clinical Excellence and Staff Support.
Ryan earned his Undergraduate Degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT in 1999 and Medical Degree from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010.​
Dr. Michael Augustyniak, CMIO, S&P Consultants
Michael has worked directly with S&P clients since 2013, specifically physicians and the executive teams, to design, build, and optimize systems to fix those gaps and meet the clients’ needs. His overall goal in the industry is to ease clinician burden where possible and deliver a safe, meaningful and patient-centric medical record. He is a member of various committees and councils at multiple client sites, including Interdisciplinary Clinical Advisory Councils, Physician Advisory Councils, and Medical Executive Committees.
Prior to joining the team at S&P, Michael did his residency training in anesthesiology. He also served as a staff scientist in the research department at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, where he published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals. He then moved into a Clinical Strategist role with the IT department and played an integral part in all clinical system projects and implementations.
Michael graduated from Northeast Ohio Medical University’s six-year BS/MD program. He is an active member in both HIMSS and AMDIS.
